Pros and Cons of the New LG Mini GD880
LG recently announced the release of the LG Mini GD880, a non-smartphone that is sure to improve mobile browsing. Unlike other cell phones, this one is compatible with the new HTML5 standard, meaning it handles Flash videos and animations even without installing Flash software. The Mini supports most major internet applications (e.g. Gmail, Google Maps) and can have up to ten browser windows open at the same time.
Neverthless, the LG Mini is not without flaws. As previously stated, the Mini isn’t a smartphone, meaning it lacks many fun features found in iPhones and BlackBerrys. Moreover, many users will undoubtedly dislike the phone’s rectangular shape, which has sharp edges and corners.
User friendly and compact, the LG Mini is a great alternative to expensive smartphones that come with all sorts of gizmos and gadgets that many users simply don’t need. With the latest internet browsing capabilities, a 5.0 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and A-GPS capabilities, and a 3.2 inch touch screen, the LG Mini proves to be the ideal cell phone for many users.
